Early life
He was born Kelvyn Brown on 1 April 1991 in Assin Fosu in the Central Region, and spent his early years studying in Kumasi before committing to music. His stage name came simply from people repeatedly calling him that Kelvin boy.
Rise with BHIM
He debuted with the single Pray in 2017, immediately showing a gift for melody. After collaborating with Stonebwoy on Na You, he was signed to the star's Burniton Music Group in 2018, one of the most promising young signings in the country. He left the label in 2019 following disagreements, striking out on his own.
