Nacee

Nacee is one of the most respected creative forces in Ghanaian gospel music, a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer whose skill behind the scenes is as celebrated as his own recordings.

Background

He was born Nana Osei, and his stage name is drawn as an acronym from his name. A complete studio craftsman, he mastered every stage of music-making, from writing and arrangement to recording, mixing and mastering, a rare all-round command of the art.

Producer and performer

He built a reputation as one of the country's finest producers, shaping songs for a wide range of artists, while also fronting the inspirational group No Tribe as its lead vocalist. He founded Tone Hall Studios in Accra, a state-of-the-art recording and live-production facility that became a hub for Ghanaian music.

Success

His own recordings have been hugely popular. His single Aseda dominated the gospel charts for more than a year and won Best Gospel Song at the 2024 Ghana Gospel Music Awards, confirming his standing as both a hitmaker and a craftsman.
