Salma Mumin

Salma Mumin is one of the leading actresses of contemporary Ghanaian cinema, an award-winning performer who has combined a successful screen career with ventures in film production and fashion.

Early life and education

She was born Abdul Mumin Umu Salma Tando on 14 December 1989 in Wa, in the Upper West Region. She studied theatre arts at the University of Ghana before moving to Accra to pursue acting professionally.

Acting career

She made her screen debut in 2007 in Passion and Soul and rose to prominence from around 2009, becoming a household name across the African film and television scene. She earned acclaim for roles in films such as No Man's Land, The Will and What My Wife Doesn't Know, marked by a confident, glamorous screen presence.
